Selena Koro, DscPT

Selena joined Summit Physical Therapy in November of 2017 as a contingent/relief on-call therapist.

Selena currently works full time in Oxford schools as a pediatric therapist and is able to help Summit Physical Therapy in her spare time. Over her thirty years of working as a physical therapist, she has worked in hospitals, outpatient facilities, skilled nursing and school based therapy.

Selena graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 1986 from Louisiana State University in New Orleans.  She decided to go back to school and earned her Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy in 2009 from Oakland University.  She also earned three certifications including pediatrics, teaching and learning, and complimentary medicine and wellness.  She has obtained licenses in eight states and has worked from coast-to- coast.

Selena was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana, but she and her husband have lived in Michigan since 1987 and reside here in Oxford.  They have two children, Anthony and Teresa who are now young adults. Selena’s hobbies include traveling, yoga, reading, gardening and hiking.  Her newest passion is paddle board yoga at Splash at the Legacy Center in Oxford.
