Tim Houston, DPT
Tim Houston joined Summit Physical Therapy in October 2018. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, he has worked with a wide variety of patients from all ages and activity levels. Previously, Tim has experience guiding patients through rehab from major orthopedic surgeries in addition to treating injured athletes and weekend warriors.
As a graduate of the Physical Therapy Program at the University of Michigan-Flint and the School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Tim has published scientific findings and presented research to his colleagues at several national conferences. While the science of rehabilitation may be a major area of interest and study for Tim, he finds that treating each individual patient with careful listening, dignity and respect to be even more important. Tim has two main priorities as a physical therapist: to help each of his patients move and feel better with their daily life activities, and to help each of his patients better understand their body and how to take good care of it.
Tim grew up in Lake Orion and currently resides with his wife, Carolyn, in Brandon Township. Together they enjoy hiking, kayaking, snow sports, and traveling to National Parks.
